CARAZO Carazo es conocido por sus bellas playas y por las festividades religiosas que se dan casi todo el año, las más importantes son las Fiestas Patronales de San Sebastián, en Diriamba en el mes de Enero y las Fiestas patronales de Santiago Apóstol Patrono de Jinotepe, fiestas patronales por excelencia del departamento. El departamento de Carazo lleva ese nombre, en homenaje al gobernante nicaragüense Evaristo Carazo Aranda ( 1887-1889). Carazo is known for its beautiful beaches and religious festivals that occur all year the most important are the Patronal feasts of San Sebastian, in Diriamba in the month of January and the Patronal feasts of Santiago Apóstol patron Jinotepe, festivities for excellence in the department. Carazo department is named in honor of the Nicaraguan president Evaristo Carazo Aranda(1887-1889).
